Welcome to the start of our 2024 VCT Reporting Period! Over the next few weeks we'll be taking an in-depth look at what VALORANT Esports has in store for you next year. In this special episode, we focus on the Challengers and how they are preparing to be great next season. We hope to provide a clear map of this ecosystem by previously publishing some preliminary details in our 2024 campaign season and then taking a closer look at Challengers.

The development of the Challenger and Ascension tournaments continues with the aim of giving players the opportunity to reach the highest VCT level. At the same time, “Challengers” also serves as a regional showcase, providing a competition to determine the best players from various “VALORANT” communities around the world.

The spirit of our strategy (inspiration, ambition and collaboration) will be further strengthened by Premier and shared with competitors. We will share details about the Premiere in November.

In 2024, the Championship will be played throughout the year, ensuring stable competition within the framework of Tier 2. The next season will consist of two different stages that will provide similar opportunities for the league starting in January and the Ascension Championship qualifiers in September.

With the start of Challengers in January, most of the leagues will start qualifiers, while some will be happy to host well-known teams in 2023. All stages will be completed in the game, we will celebrate the best team of the league. season. Information specific to each league will be published from regional sources.

We will then announce the first promotion and elimination of the CL and Premier groups at the end of the first phase. In this event, the Premier team will compete with the CL team throughout the championship to earn the second place of the CL season. Teams looking to qualify for the Challengers should pay attention to specific regional information coming our way in November.

The Challengers 2025 season will begin in October, following the 2024 Ascension Championship in September. The early start date will help us reduce the gap in the calendar while giving the Ascension champions enough time to prepare for the start of the International League.

As the 2024 Challenger Season continues, we are introducing new policies to create more connections and more opportunities at every level of our ecosystem. Our main goal is to improve skills by giving teams more flexibility in sending players during the game.

Partnerships will allow teams in the International League to form partnerships with Players and Players. Teams that form collaborative partnerships will be able to collaborate more on content and other partnerships. Alliance engagements with Challenger teams must occur in the same region, but there are no regional restrictions for Alliance engagements with Game Changer teams. These partnerships will also open up the opportunity to use two-way players.

Two-way players are an attempt to solve the problem we often see in international leagues. Reserve players signed to the IL squad last year did not receive any playing time and therefore lost the opportunity to gain playing experience. By introducing two-way players, players who cannot play full-time in an International League team's starting lineup can be reduced from joining the team's roster in Challengers and Game Changers, giving players a competitive advantage. rather than relegated to the bench.

The credit system for players will also be shared with two-way players in order to facilitate the development of players. In 2024, I-League teams will be allowed to loan players from their squad to other teams outside the I-League, such as the Challengers or Game Changers. Unlike two-way players, these loanees are not eligible to play for their primary team until their loan expires. However, these players' loans are not tied to participating clubs, providing a variety of groups for borrowers.
