Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 5

 

Finally, Fortnite OG is available. Fortnite's upcoming season will genuinely return to the Chapter 1 map, complete with weapons, skins, and other items to complete the throwback aesthetic, after years of wishful thinking, months of rumors, and days of teases. Epic Games was finally defeated by the Fortnite fervor for Chapter 1, which was once thought to be a pipe dream.

The season is short, as previously rumored, but the changes are significant. Fortnite OG is a month-long game that has a lot of changes that aren't usually seen in a season launch of Fortnite. One benefit of the shortened season is the OG Pass, a battle pass with 50 tiers of throwback rewards instead of the customary 100+.

Second, there are far more updates with a higher cadence. The battle royale island and loot will drastically change every week to reflect different eras of Chapter 1 Seasons 5 through X (10), as opposed to adding one or two new items every week or two. While some items might cycle out after just one week, others might last for several updates or even the entire season.

The Fortnite OG Shop will also be restocking rare and vintage cosmetics like gliders and skins, along with some newly designed items and reimagined pieces that combine previous characters. As these shop items are rumored to be rare, it might be worthwhile to check the shop every day if you're looking to purchase some of the rarest cosmetics in the game.

With a new hotfix introduced every week that significantly modifies the loot to reflect various seasons from Chapter 1, this one-month season will feature more changes to the loot pool than in any previous season. The schedule will operate as follows, with the wording taken straight from Epic:

1. Launch day update for Season 5: The All Terrain Kart, Grappler, Boogie Bomb, Damage Trap, and Shopping Cart are among the loot.
2. November 9 Hotfix - Update for Season 6: The Quad crasher, Mounted Turret, Six Shooter, Chiller Trap, and other items are among the loot.
3. November 16 Hotfix - Updates for Seasons 7 and 8: Buried Treasure, the X-4 Stormwing and Pirate Cannon, and other items are among the loot.
4. November 23 Hotfix - Updates for Seasons 9 and X: Proximity Grenade Launcher, Air Strike, Junk Rift, Storm Flip, Jetpack, and other items are among the loot.
